Listing Requirements & Application

GoDirect Entertainment is an automated online booking enquiry service.

For Suppliers who list on GoDirect Entertainment please note:

1. It is free to list

2. Our staff will place your media content on your page at no cost

3. Our staff handle all your update requirements at no cost

4. Cost to listed suppliers:

• if you decide to decline the enquiry there is no cost to you
• if you decide to accept the enquiry a minimal lead fee is required to be paid thru our paypal link. It is fully automated. PayPal is the only payment method. The lead fee is $15.

There are no other costs to you.

If you wish to list on GoDirect Entertainment please read all the information below prior to completing the application form.

Launched in March 2007, Go Direct Entertainment is an automated easy to use on-line booking enquiry service.

How does GoDirect work for artists/entertainers, business suppliers and freelancers?

• Each entertainer, freelancer, business is listed under as many different categories as are relevant to their information page/bio supplied.
• An online enquiry is made via the online Booking Enquiry form: the Profile page of each entertainer, freelancer or business.
• An email is automatically sent with information that will allow suppliers to decide to accept or decline the enquiry.
• This information includes details regarding the event or function:
  • Date
  • Type of Event / job enquiry / project
  • Budget
  • Approx Performance Start Time - for performers
  • Line-up required - for performers
  • Approx Duration of Performance - for performers
  • Approx number of guests (if available) - for performers
  • City/Suburb, State, Country
  • Type of Organization the enquiry is originating from.
• Suppliers must decline or accept the enquiry. This is an automated program, and will unsubscribe the listing page if the supplier does not accept or decline the enquiry within 3 business days.
• Please do not email admin with the "accept" or "decline" answer. Respond only to the automated email sent with the enquiry email.
• Any fees paid to GoDirect Entertainment by entertainers/businesses/suppliers are of the nature of advertising fees.
• If suppliers accept the enquiry they are then directed to the PayPal website to pay a fee which is currently $15.00; they must have use of a credit card or have an existing account with PayPal.
• PayPal is the only form of payment available.
• Should they decline the enquiry, no fee is payable.

• 2012: We strongly advise that suppliers do not accept enquiries using a feature/smart phone or via Google Chrome, these actions may create problems when accessing Paypal.

• The lead fee is $15 per accepted enquiry.
• Upon payment of the enquiry fee at PayPal, the complete enquiry is forwarded to the supplier by email, (it may take a few minutes) with all the contact details that have been suppplied.
• In all aspects and issues all suppliers listed act as their own booking agent. "admin" does not respond to booking enquiries.

NB - The enquiries are not to be assumed as a confirmed job/gig/booking or gig "offer".

Refund Policy

Sorry, but there is no refund:

• if the booking is not confirmed by the enquirer.
• if you fail to receive a reply, when the enquiry is proven to be a legitimate and genuine booking enquiry by our admin staff.
• if the enquirer is not responding to your calls, emails or to the quote you have supplied. We have no control over this.
• if the booking is cancelled by the enquirer/event manager at any time.
• should the person enquiring make an error on their form, eg. date/time etc. We have no control over this.
• GoDirect Entertainment does not act as a booking agent and makes no personal contact with the enquirer.
• A refund is due: should the enquiry be: 1. obviously spam 2. user abuse of our terms and conditions 3. has been discontinued by admin. And the lead fee has already been paid.
• Refunds: All refunds are paid by cheque and posted within 7 days.
• Any fees paid to GoDirect Entertainment by entertainers/businesses/suppliers are of the nature of advertising fees.

GoDirect Entertainment is on-line booking enquiry service which may benefit Entertainment Suppliers by...

• Your contact details remain confidential.
• Receive enquiries directly from the public and businesses.
• Having the information supplied asap via email.
• Quoting a fee. Fee quoted remains confidential.
• Receive payment directly.
• Payment terms and conditions are specified by you, at the time of your confirmation.
• Assists in the promotion of special deals direct, one-on-one with the enquirer.
• Establishing a business relationship with enquirer for future bookings.
• receive national and international enquiries.

Fees and Charges

No fees or charges apply for a web site visitor to submit their enquiry.

No fees or charges apply for performers and suppliers to list. It is free for all performers, freelancers and suppliers who wish to promote their act/band and product or service.

No fees or charges apply when GoDirect Entertainment staff format the media content onto the listing page/s.

The Entertainment Supplier is charged a fee for each enquiry - only if they choose to accept. This fee is currently $15.00. This is the only on-going fee incurred. No fee is charged if an enquiry is declined.

The lead fee (subscription fee) is $15 per accepted enquiry.

It is free to list your act/entertainment/entertainment related equipment and supplies.

Additionally, there is an optional File Configuration fee. Should you be 'technologically challenged' and unable to supply the content, images and video files in the correct format and specifications we require, we can do this for you. Again, this is a once-off fee and is currently $0.00 (i.e. no fee currently applies).

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a listing on GoDirect Entertainment, the following are required:

1. Have a credit card (not Amex or Diners) to use on PayPal or alternatively have a PayPal account (NB: credit card payments are accepted by PayPal without the need to open an account with them). PayPal is the only form of payment.
2. Be email savvy and connected – it is vital that the contact person has access to incoming email and check emails on a daily basis (at minimum).
3. A commitment to responding to an enquiry ideally, within a period of 1 business day. Maximum of three business days.
4. Notification to GoDirect Entertainment in advance of any extended periods of any unavailability.
5. Supply an up-to-date biography or business description, image files and, where applicable, song list, music and video files.
6. All suppliers will at all times communicate and conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner when dealing with an enquiry.
7. Agree to our Terms and Conditions.

GoDirect Entertainment reserves the right to reject at it's sole discretion any application for listing that is deemed unsuitable, specify relevant category listings, and select the media content to be published on the website.

Should an application be rejected, any setup fees charged will be refunded.

Similarly, GoDirect Entertainment reserves the right at it's sole discretion to:

• suspend or remove a listing if the supplier is no longer meeting these requirements. E.g. non-responsive to our email requests.
• unsubscribe a listing due to in-activity. If a supplier has not recieved an enquiry with in a specified time (allocated by management) their listing will be unsubscribed from the website.

Content and File Specifications

Suppliers may send these files either by email or on disc via post (GoDirect Entertainment contact details). If sending via email, limit the total attachment size to 2MB per email, and send multiple emails if necessary. Please include your Supplier ID Number in every email.

Content and files must be supplied to us in the following format and specifications:

• Biography or Business Description
  - up to the equivalent of 2 A4 size pages of text, in Microsoft Word or plain text format
  - please do not use capitals in the entire word doc.
  
• Image
  - one large image in high resolution (i.e. 300 DPI), in jpg or gif format. Overall image size no bigger than 2mb please.
  
• Song List (if applicable)
  - up to the equivalent of 2 A4 size pages of text, in Excel Sheet format (song name in one column and artist name in another column).
  
• Sound Files (if applicable)
  - MP3 Sound file format. A maximum of 3 song samples will be listed. 3 x 1 minute song samples (or less than one minute, as provided.)
  - each file max of 1MB in size, recorded at Bit Rate of 128 Kbps, with 1 second fade-in & 5 second fade-out, IDE tags with appropriate information. (A sound file of these specifications has a playing time of approximately 1 minute.)
  - Each sound file must be clearly titled and numbered.
  - please note: we do not take samples from MySpace or YouTube.
  
• Video (if applicable)
  - one file in wmv format, up to 2 MB in size, saved at Bit Rate of 150 Kbps, no contact details to be included in video. (A video file of these specifications has a playing time of approximately 2 minutes)
  - please note: we do not take video samples from MySpace or YouTube.

If suppliers are not able to convert their sound/video/image to the above specifications, we may able to do this (a fee applies - currently $0.00 (i.e. no fee currently applies)).

If any supplier wishes to take us up on our offer to configure your files, the files must be supplied to us in digital format, not on paper; if your music samples are supplied on CD, please ensure you provide clear instructions as to which tracks to convert, otherwise this will be at our discretion.

Content Updates

To update the listing page content, simply send the files to us.

Content and files for updates must be supplied to us in the format listed under File and Content Specifications, above.

Send your updated content by email or on CD/DVD via post (GoDirect Entertainment contact details).

If sending via email, limit the total attachment size to 2MB per email, and send multiple emails if necessary. Please include your Supplier ID Number in every email.

NB. It is very important that we are notified of any changes to the suppliers "contact" email.

Each listing is entitled to one free update per annum, from the date of original listing.

More than one change per annum may incurr a fee.

How to Apply

NB: applications are ONLY accepted from within Australia. Sorry, no overseas listings.
