Two decades, three albums, plenty of shows and a university degree later, it’s now the time for Sinistral to put theory into practice and unleash his creative potential on the unsuspecting club scene! You can have a live original electro show (Ma Sheen) or a DJ with the most eclectic selection of party tunes (DJ Sinistral). Sinistral is a Music Producer, a DJ, a university qualified sound technician and a classically trained multi-instrumentalist. He’s performed under various guises at festivals (Sounds of Spring @ the RNA Showgrounds and most recently The Earthcore Global Carnival 08 in Melbourne) and many Brisbane venues, including The Empire Hotel Moonbar, The Zoo, The Rev, Rics, The Valley Studios and others, as well as house and dance parties. He’s currently one half of the electro duo ‘Ma Sheen’. In performance, Sinistral shuns the typical ‘too-cool’ attitude of so many DJs, instead adopting a big movements approach, conducting his virtual orchestra of synthesisers and drum machines with big attention grabbing gestures! Kinda like a skinny Carl Cox… skinny and white. DJ Sinistral’s musical training is evident in his mixes and productions - he uses cutting edge techniques while maintaining strong musicality and energetic performances to ensure the punters are enthralled.
