Line up(s) available: solo Circus Bio The First: and easiest to take with me is ground contortion. Contortion is an acrobatic art that involves a performer bending their body into hyper-flexible, extraordinary positions. The easy of is move ability is that all I need is some make-up, a costume and a place to perform. My only prop is me. The Second: which is a much bigger thing both in prop size but performance size too. Tissu, the French word for material, also know as silks or ribbons, is performed in the air, the apparatus made from a length of fabric (folded in half) comes in various colours and with varying amounts of stretch. You climb up and down the fabric, wrapping sections around the body to hang, drop and slide during a performance. Nearing the end of my first year I gave my first performance. With a group of students from NICA, who all ranged in skills and levels, we gave a performance in one of the conference rooms at Crown Casino. Along with another girl, we performed on the beautiful and graceful tissu. This act was in conjunction with other acts to create a dynamic picture on stage. My next performance was the end of year show, a show that always seems to be bettering and preceding the last (end of year show at NICA).
