The Caribbean Kings are a talented and versatile group of musicians who have based their style on a blend of Caribbean, Latin American and African music. These styles are well known for their appealing dance rhythms and infectious joyous melodies.

In choosing repertoire, the band has endeavoured to remain within the boundaries of ‘popular’ music, to remain commercially appealing and entertaining.


The band members, being aware of the music market, have created enough versatility within the band to perform as solo, duo, trio, quartet and quintet, through to their full line-up, an octet (8 piece).

The band also has the ability to perform in various types of venues including cafes, functions, shopping centres, markets, festivals, hotels and clubs both as a stationary concert act or in the roving mode with their mobile, amplified trolley.

Formed in 1992, The Caribbean Kings are renowned for their colourful costumes and lively, engaging performances. Their unique style and willingness to provide the total entertainment package have quickly made them one of the most in-demand bands in Victoria. This success saw the band selected to perform the 1997 New Years Eve concert at Brisbane’s Southbank Parklands, where the band performed to an estimated audience of 80,000 people and were beamed live on Channel 7 TV throughout Queensland.
