Natural Wings Aerial Dance performs beautiful acts which are filled with grace, strength, highly skilled tricks and exquisite choreography.
New acts are being created constantly, and can cater for any theme.

Static Trapeze
Highly skilled feats of strength and flexibility are performed through graceful and dynamic aerial dance. Be dazzled with flexible poses, graceful dance like movements, dramatic rolls around the bar, and hard-core strength moves- all perfectly executed by an elegant lady.
The trapeze act is performed high above guests, and is sure to spellbind!
Single Point Trapeze
Think ballet mixed with trapeze.
Single Point Trapeze acts involved Dawn dancing through the air, using the floor to propel her, spinning, flying, doing difficult tricks with seamless transitions whilst spinning... and mesmerising all!
This is a dynamic act which requires room to move.
At least 3x3metres of level floor space is needed. The more floor, the more flying!
Tissu
Drops, Roll downs, flexibility and strong holds are all displayed on the tissu, in a visually spectacular act. Many styles can be performed, from elegance to dramatic and romantic.
Inclusions for Aerial Acts:
- Choreography: Costume (pre existing). New costumes can be made to suit themes, and may attract a charge for materials)

General Requirements for Aerial Acts:
- Change room
- Dress Rehearsal
- A point to rig from, with a safe working load of at least 800kg
- Rigger – to be provided by the event, Or we can provide a Rigger for $120, for rigging in entertainment buildings. Prices can vary if working from new / difficult structures.
Floor or roof: I can climb to the static trapeze / tissu from the ground, or climb down from the roof where possible. E.g., Burswood Grand Ballroom.
The act will be approximately 7 minutes in length, with choreographed movements to get on and off equipment. There must be a sectioned off area under the equipment, before and during performance.
Performance Fees: Aerial Acts are usually a min of $1000 depending on venue, length of act, height etc.
The cost will include : insurance, costume, rehearsals, choreography... and spectacular enertainment designed specifically for your event!
Stilts
A range of characters are available for walkabout acts (and stage shows on demand). All characters display highly skilled movements such as jumping, spinning, high kicks and dancing. New characters can be created for events.
Characters include:
- Ballerina: Dancing with pretty balletic movements, displaying high skills of high kicks and pirouettes, she is sure to amaze and mesmerise. She can be cheeky too- showing off her fluffy tutu bottom, and mingling with the crowd.
- Funky Ballerina: This is the brightest and funkiest ballerina you have ever seen (pictured below)
She is cheeky and fun to have around, and will dance your socks off! Also available for UV events, and can glow in the dark.
- Santa's Elf: Cheeky, mischievous, this elf likes to hide and surprise. She jingles everywhere she goes, and loves Christmas time… and stealing other people's presents.
- Daisey the Cowgirl Naive, fun loving, loud and fun to have at any event. She will do the ho down in her all pink, girly cowgirl getup.
- Show Girl: This showgirl will can-can away, with her high kicks and flirty nature. Perfect for events wanting a larger than life showgirl to amp the atmosphere.
- Saloon Girls (Also available as Duo, and in masquerade) Classy, elegant, funny, flirty and fun. Dressed in corsets, big maroon skirts, fishnets, bloomers and feathers
- Disco Diva: Swirly pants, sequins and afro. This character is perfect for events with disco music. She will dance the night away!

Requirements:
A high bench at chest height, or a standard table with chair on top. This is for getting on and off stilts, and must be in an accessible area, near or in the Change room.

Duo Acrobatics : Two ladies clambering over each other artistically, demonstrating high skills in acrobatics, partner balancing and creative choreography. Witness flexible Dawn and strong Isobel working together to create impressive and beautiful images.
Chicks With Tricks: A fun for all ages, circus comedy show, performed by Dawn Strindberg and Isobel Lyall. Expect to laugh at their antics, and be amazed with their endless tricks in Stilts, Diabolo, Hula Hoop, Acrobatics, Contortion, Juggling, and ( where rigging allows) Trapeze and Tissu!
Ground based show is 45 minutes

Dawn Strindberg, founder and performer of Natural Wings Aerial Dance
Dawn Strindberg : Bio
Dawn has always been a performer. She began dancing and climbing trees at the age of three, and pursued an acting career since she was ten.
In 2003 she graduated from the WA Academy of Performing Arts, where she specialised in acting and devising new theatre.
In 2004, she journeyed to New Zealand to expand her skills in circus, in aim to become a circus theatre practitioner. In her two years of full time training, Dawn devised and performed in circus theatre shows such as "Circus Proms" (with Christchurch Symphony Orchestra) "Club 37," "Umbilical Box" and "Circus Under the Stars." She was also funded to attend the International Aerial Dance Festival, where she met the founder of Aerial Dance.
Once graduated from CircoArts, Dawn devised the highly emotional circus theatre show, "The Life of Eileen," which won acclaim at Wellington Fringe Festival and was awarded, 'Best Solo Show' of the Fringe 2006.
In 2007 Dawn re staged "The Life of Eileen" in Perth, and collaboratively devised and performed the Circus Theatre show, "Chicks with Tricks" with Isobel Lyall.
She also spent two months in New Zealand where she devised and performed spinning double trapeze in the "World of Wearable Art Awards shows" in Wellington. (New Zealand's largest arts event)
In 2008 Dawn has been a featured performer at the WA Circus Festival and appeared in various events where she has soared in the air.
Dawn has trained with many wonderful trainers such as Stanislav Shchukin (performer and tutor of Moscow Circus for 35 years!) Deb Pope (Circus Oz, NICA, Wellington Circus Trust) and now she devises and trains herself to provide daring and beautiful performances to audiences worldwide.
She has collaborated and performed with internationally acclaimed companies, Empress Stilt Dance, Suspend Aerial Theatre, and Mondo di Corpo and is always willing to travel.
Natural Wings Aerial Dance was born in 2005, and has developed into a highly popular company which performs at both prestigious and community events. Dawn continues to develop her skills through consistent training and creates new material all the time, so she is always ready to perform something NEW!
