Let The Mango

Profile Songlist Bookings
Based in: Nelson Bay NSW
Line up(s) available: 2 piece (duo), 3 piece (trio)

Let the Mango is a force to be recognised and have currently worked the Hunter Region’s circuit for the past 3 years, initially as a duo and now have added to its lineup a third member. Margherita and Ted moved their base to Nelson Bay from NSW’s Central West’s Bathurst-Orange area in May 2005.

They perform classy songs with keyboard, guitar and harmonious vocals. They boast a recent CD which reflects their distinct sound and contains great songs from their working repertoir.
Before teaming up in January 1992, both Marg & Ted had high profiles performing with other duos and groups both in Sydney & country NSW scene. Since that time the duo has created a strong identity in their new Hunter locale.

Margherita has been singing professionally since she was a teenager, working on and evolving her style, which embodies a powerful and sensual feel and approach to her vocals. The early influences of Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, The Motels, and the Pretenders have definitely led her to her forte. She is a most-gifted singer. She has shared the stage with many top performers, including John Farnham.

Ted has been performing since the early 70s. His ability as a keyboard player, arranger, and support-vocalist shine through, and gives Let the Mango its unique full sound. He is a technician who harbours his talent to reproduce sounds, which are vital to the contemporary performer of today’s songs (and yesteryear). His roots lie in blues and ‘feel’ music.
Anne Sullivan has lived and worked in the Newcastle area for many years. Her profile and recognition as a guitar/keyboard player in duos and bands in the area is only surpassed by her vocal and technical arrangement ability and vast experience performing many styles of popular music.

Let the Mango's repertoire includes top hits of the 60s thru to recent Top 40. No doubt one of the secrets of their continuing popularity on the music scene is the diversity of their material. They constantly work to expand their range of songs. This gives them the opportunity to appear anywhere from pubs, clubs, and weddings to most gatherings where music is needed.
Their music is not for wallflowers. A Let the Mango gig is one where dancing and singing is a must. You will not be able to sit in your chair all night – you will get up and dance! You are guaranteed of a good time and a great night out!
