Classic Rock Genre Tribute!
Hard Copy is a 5 piece classic rock genre cover/tribute band that was formed in November 07 that plays all the best rockin' tunes from the 70s to present.
Since the bands main focus is just classic and hard rock n roll covers and not the usual top 40, we are able to reproduce the sounds of the bands from this genre more closely and deliver it in a show that would make anyone take notice.
Each member of the band have over 15 years experience in playing the pubs circuit with both covers and original music, so this band definitely has what it takes to put on a memorable performance , its all in making you want to come back .

Jon - lead guitar/backing vocals
Jon picked up the guitar at the age of 13 after being spellbound by the thunderingly powerful guitar work in Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile (slight return) and he decided to teach himself to play. Jon was lucky when growing up to have his father who was the national sales manager of a rock radio station , which gave Jon access to unlimited music and the chance to meet and pick the brains of some of the countries most influential D.J's, musicians and entertainment big wigs. When Jon got hold of AC/DC's back in black and he heard Angus screaming he said to himself “This is how I want to play " Other major influences include Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore, Eddie Van Halen, Ace Frehley, Billy Gibbons, Jimi Page, Tony Iommi and Randy Rhoads.
Mark (Cloudy) - rhythm guitar/backing vocals
Cloudy has been playing guitar now for over 18 years with at least 16 years of live experience, playing both original music and covers. The two main bands he played in during that time were ‘Merlins Madhouse’ and ‘The Crowl.’ In the early 90s ‘Merlins Madhouse’ gained a huge following of loyal fans that turned out to see them at every occasion, thus allowing the band to play on average about 3 times a week in venues right across Victoria. Some examples of venues were ‘The Espy’ ‘Wall st’ ‘Armadale Hotel’ ‘Punters Club’. In this time ‘Merlins Madhouse’ recorded an E.P and received a lot of interest from record companies. From 95 to 07 Cloudy played with ‘The Crowl’ who also recorded several times and had much interest from record companies here and abroad. Twice their music was showcased at the midem music festival, in France and Hong Kong. Over years Cloudy has gained a vast amount of experience in and around the music ndustry which affords him the ability to conduct himself in mature and professional manner.
Andy - bass guitar
I started playing Bass about 20 years ago after hearing bands such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. I soon developed a passion for rock bass playing and started gigging with several cover bands around Melbourne. In 1994 I moved to WA and got the chance to play with muso’s from different genres such as Jazz and Blues. I also toured with a number of cover bands throughout WA. I took a hiatus from music for about 3 years to raise my 2 kids and spend more time at home. I’m now back in Melbourne and ready to rock on stage again. I still have a deep passion for music and am happy to say I’m now playing with the most hard rocking and committed guys I’ve every played with.
Kenn - lead vocals
In 1976 a 8 year old school boy Stood on the Town Hall stage at the Maffra end of year school concert, armed with only piano accompaniment began to sing "Billy don't be a hero" and consequently brought the house down. Years later after being in many garage bands and one Church wedding chior, he decided to take it seriously. A couple of semi successful original and cover bands, and a few backing vocals roles for some local St Kilda Icons later, he developed a Strong Blues Rock influence and cheeky "in Your face" performing style, that makes for great hard rockin' fun.
My Motto Is, "I'll Have a go at That" He he he
