Commercial Jet Fighter Flights are only commercially available in 3 countries in the world; Russia, South Africa, and Australia. You can pay up to US$30,000 in Russia and up to US$20,000 in South Africa for a similar Jet Adventure Experience. Unlike other adventure flight operators, you are guaranteed to only fly with a real Top Gun Military Trained Fighter Pilot! You'll only fly with the best, making our adventures not only one of the safest but the most authenic "Top Gun" experiences available in Australia! All missions are a half day event, and 2 to 3 hours will need to be allocated. Special requests can be made to help fit in with your schedule. Each Jet Mission will include a Military “Top Gun” Style Mission & Safety Brief where your real Top Gun Military Trained Fighter Pilot will brief the passenger and guests on the Safety Procedures, Aircraft Specifics, Flight Physiology & G Force Preparation, Detailed Manoeuvres Briefing, and Tactical Combat Theory to name just some of the topics covered.
The brief alone is a fun experience and it sets the mood for this fantastic adventure. Then, the passenger will be suited up in genuine military flight gear to include a Flight Suit, Helmet, and Oxygen Mask. Then, they will be able to pick a “callsign” such as “Maverick”, “Ice Man”, or “Goose” (many more are available) and will be adorned with squadron patches.
With the briefing done and flight gear ready, the passenger and pilot will make that unforgettable walk to “the Jet”. The pilot straps the passenger in the jet, does a final walk around and will be ready to “Kick the tyres and Light the Fires”!! In a matter a few minutes, the jet will be speeding down the runway for take off and that’s where the fun really begins!!!

Top Gun Tasmania Pty Ltd is owned and operated by Major Daniel Duggan, a former US Marine Corps officer of over 12 years. As a highly trained Fighter Pilot, he flew Harrier Jump Jets off of aircraft carriers tactically around the globe. He was a senior weapons and tactical instructor and was hand picked to be the US Marine Corps’ Exchange Pilot to the Spanish Navy where he taught tactics and strategy for nearly three years. He is also an active Fighter Weapons Course Instructor for a leading international military consultancy firm.
