Jenny is one of Australia’s fastest emerging stand-up comedy talents, with a particular passion for musical, character and improvised comedy. She has recently relocated her family to Canada to take advantage of the comedic opportunities that abound…and to play ‘chicken’ with Grizzlies.

Jenny is also available to MC your next event, and can also work as a voice-over actor.

In 2006 she was awarded a $15,500 Lord Mayor’s New and Emerging Artists Fellowship to travel to New York, Boston, Las Vegas & LA to train in comedy and improv with the prestigious Second City and more. In 2007 Arts Queensland awarded her another grant to attend the Loose Moose International School of Improvisation in Calgary and she was also offered an independent residency at the renowned Banff Centre, to work on her new solo show.

Over the past several years she has entertained audiences both locally, nationally and internationally. She was Queensland’s Runner-Up in the 2006 Triple J Raw Comedy Competition, while her full-length solo variety show Jenny Wynter is: self-indulgent, combining stand-up, musical, improvised and character comedy, launched BrizImprovFest, Brisbane’s first improv festival in 2007.

Jenny has written for ABC TV’s The Glass House, has performed all around Australia and the USA and has appeared on Brisbane’s 612 ABC, Tasmania’s Huon FM and Briz 31’s Cinema. Until jumping the ocean to Canada, she co-hosted The Frog and Peach, the cultishly popular comedy drive-time radio show on 4ZZZ.
