Having been chosen as the 5th Cartoonist in 87 years to take over the iconic Ginger Meggs comic strip, he also produces editorial cartoons, book illustrations and live caricatures at corporate events.

In 2005 Chatfield won the Bill Mitchell Award for Best Up-and-coming-cartoonist in Australia. His work is seen daily in over 120 newspapers in 30 countries around the world.
