Debra performs with a quartet, and also a duo or trio, in more intimate settings. Her repertoire presents original jazz compositions, and very familiar pop, jazz, folk, blues and show tunes. Debra’s collection of song titles draws from a diverse range of influences that have enabled Debra to create her own unique style. Debra is a self managed artist. Her professionalism and enthusiasm, is complimented by her warm and honest approach to her music.
After completing a Bachelor of Science at Macquarie and passing the audition for both UNSW and Jazz Vocal Studies at the Access Centre Conservatorium of Music Sydney, Debra decided it was time to get out there on the Sydney jazz scene.

Debra recorded ‘Little Wing’ an album full of tried and true jazz standards, fashioned around the singular theme of Angels. The songs on ‘Little Wing’ range from the haunting to the sexy with measures of whimsy and romance. The mood shifts from the humour of the upbeat “And the Angels Sing” to the dark shadowy “Close to You” to the lush beauty and personal lyrics “If Wishes were Kisses” Debra has previously recorded two singles ‘This Time We Say Good-bye’ (1999) and ‘Love’s Dance’ with a very moving 5/4 piano solo played by the song’s composer Jeremy Challender and one independent full-length album ‘Getting to Know Me’ The most recent recording ‘Credo’ will be available in a few weeks.
