The Space Cowboy

Profile Bookings
Based in: Byron Bay NSW

The Space Cowboy performs a verity of acts ranging from stylish circus stunts to crazy freakshow feats.

He has shown his diversity and skill by performing at the Edinburgh festival twelve years in a row, he won 'The Street Performance World Championship' in 2006 and 2007, exhibited four different sellout shows in the Sydney Opera house, toured with famous rock bands, freaked out motorcycle dare-devils in massive arena stunt shows, and displayed his extravagant abilities in front of the royal throne of Italy.

Street Performance
The Space Cowboy has won the 'Street Performance World Championships' two years in a row, so currently has the world's most sort after street act. THe street act involves double whip cracking, sword swallowing, and the grand finally is three spectacular stunts on top of a 3m (9foot) unicycle the last stunt is juggling three dangerous objects blind-folded!

Freakshow Stunts - Sword Swallowing
The Space Cowboy's freakshow stunts include pierced weight lifting stunts such as suspending and swinging weights from fishhooks in his eye sockets; he performs about 30 different sword swallowing stunts and is a multiple 'Guinness World Record Holder' for sword swallowing stunts, holding the 'World's first' title for many other stunts like 'the Worlds First Under Water Sword Swallow' which was performed in a tank full of live sharks!

The Space Cowboy performs a multiple sword swallow where he swallows up to 17 swords at once (This is the official world record). Also, he swallows a 60cm 2000volt glass tube with a microphone on the end (you can hear his heart beating as the light shines through his skin from the inside). The sword swallow weight lift stunt involves suspending heavy gas canisters from a swallowed sword, and "The Black and Decker Digestion Wrecker" is a stunt with a sword blade inserted into an electric drill! And many more…

Mind Bending
The Space Cowboy performs a world class solo "mind reading" act called 'MIND BENDING' up to 70mins in duration, whicht includes drawing pictures from spectators minds, bending spoons in their hands and other demonstrations... some to bizarre to describe in print.

The Mutant Barnyard
Australia's only freak animal exhibit. It's a 6x6m tent decorated with a beautifully detailed sideshow banner line and eye catching carnival lights complete with ticket box and spruiking platforms and run by dynamic performers, including some of Australia's smallest entertainers, dressed in vintage safari suits boldly informing/warning the public of what they are about to see/show times and creating an impressive facade. The outside spectacle is a show in itself.

Inspired by the old time freakshows, medical museums and fine art galleries, this beautiful and bizarre exhibit of genuine mutated animals is like no other. The Mutant barnyard is Australia's largest collection of authentic freak animals, including Daisy & Maisy the world famous two headed calf, Dido the double bodied duckling, a double faced piglet with three eyes and much, much more.

All of these exciting exhibits are professionally taxidermied, mummified and preserved medical specimens, or important items from freakshow history.

'The Mutant Barnyard' is designed primarily as a travelling sideshow museum with a live guided tour of 10 to 15 minutes to show and highlight the collection of mysterious animal mutations. It can also be tailored for corporate events as a museum installation or as a live show.

The Mutant Barnyard (Short press release):
The Space Cowboy, sideshow extraordinaire and freakshow historian, has collected the odd and the unusual from over 40 countries, and now for the first time his magnificently grandiloquent mutations of anatomy will be displayed to the public.

In this exotic Menagerie of mysterious marvels you will see a genuine two-headed calf, a turkey with four legs, authentic Siamese twins, A cyclops silky born with no brain, and other truly bizarre examples from nature.
You will be talking about this educational and eye-popping carnival of wonders for years to come.

Indulge your curiosity and come face to face with the beautiful, the grotesque and the unimaginable.

Many of my acts are potentially shocking to certain spectators so all of performances are presented in a positive and friendly manner designed to entertain and thrill rather than to shock or repulse.

Performances range from 5 to 90 minutes long and cater for a wide range of events - are guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on all who witness this incredible phenomena.

"The Space Cowboy is one of the most breathtaking acts that this festival has ever seen. His charm, charisma and ability are unrivaled and I could not being to recommend him enough. He is the only performer in the world that has held the title of Street Performance World Champion twice and deservedly so. If you bring the Space Cowboy to your event or festival there is no doubt that he will be the star of your show."
Mark Duckenfield (Director of the 'Street Performance World Championship')

"The Space Cowboy delivered an awe-inspiring delight. Definitely the best act of the festival."
The New Zealand Herald – Feb. 2nd 2007
