Janice was born in Wales, the land of song and music. After graduating with a B.Mus (Hons) from the University of North Wales, Bangor, Wales, she completed a postgraduate Harp Performance Course at the Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff. Janice went on to win the Harp Competition at the prestigious Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales.

In recognition of Janice’s musical gifts, she was admitted as a bard in her home country, Wales. Her bardic name is “Telynores Dwyfor” which translates as “The Harpist of Two Seas”. This name took on profound significance when she made Australia her new home while maintaining strong links with her Welsh homeland.

Janice has earned both a national and an international musical reputation through her performances in various symphony orchestras in Australia and the UK and the demands for her gifts and skills have taken her to many unique destinations both in Australia and abroad. Janice has performed for Royalty, Prime Ministers and the Governor of Australia. Janice is currently Principal Harpist with the Queensland Pops Orchestra, the resident harpist at Stamford Plaza, Brisbane and performs regularly in concerts with Carisma, a flute, harp and cello trio.

Her wide-ranging repertoire features classical music, popular music, movie themes, Latin, Celtic and wedding music. Janice is happy to cater for any special music requests and for larger functions, the following ensembles are available – flute and harp duo or flute, harp and cello trio.
