The Beggars are an internationally acclaimed, but distinctly Australian, acoustic trio. The Beggars formed in their home town of Adelaide when renowned session musicians Quinton Dunne, Stuart Day and Renee Donaghey decided they needed an outlet for their own songs. They found a special chemistry together and their debut album Beggars was released in 2006.

Their unique blend of folk and country music with lashings of tasty vocal harmonies has quickly found an audience with music lovers far and wide.

Their first single ‘Preacher I Have Sinned’ has appeared in national top 10 radio charts in the UK , Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Belgium , & Poland. The talented trio's tune has also climbed up the Australian and pan European charts.

Quinton Dunne: Bachelor of Music, double bassist and vocalist
He has toured his own productions in Australia for many years. Quinton is a journeyman musician whose career highlights range from recording and touring with chart topping artists to literally traveling the Australian wilderness in remote tours through Aboriginal communities in northern and central Australia. As a bass-player, he has worked with Swanee, The Seekers, The Drifters, Normie Rowe and many more!

Renee Donaghey: Bachelor of Music, guitarist and vocalist
Renee is a captivating, classically trained vocalist with a voice that rings out with the sound of roots and Country music. She is an in demand session singer for live and studio work.

Stuart Day: Producer, multi instrumentalist and vocalist
Stuart is a highly regarded, ARIA nominated multi instrumentalist, performer, composer and producer with a long history of work in Australia and internationally. Stuart's CV includes a long list of major international festivals and arts companies. His music is heard from the Australian outback to the TV screens, theatre and festival stages of the world.

Beggars are also able to perform as a trio or as a quartet by adding a percussionist for larger functions.
