The combination of Cox with Samantha McManus’s smooth sounds on bass and the sleek, sharp beats of drummer Ben Houlihan sees Nextgo Pretty creating the kind of music most young bands only dream about - and the world is standing up and taking notice. Their music blends frontman Dan Cox’s raw, throaty vocals with McManus spare-but-soulful lyrics. Coxs produce guitar-driven, gritty, shamelessly gorgeous music that surges from glimmery grunge to raunchy rock with hints of everything from punk to folk, all tied together with Cox’s trademark screaming sexy guitar solos. The Three Cox McManus & Houlihan Have found them self deliciously different and fully formed from a sea of sameness. In the past year they have toured Australia wide and launched their debut EP ‘Bury This Hate’. the single ‘London’ was selected by u.s label 272 records for the ‘glamanation’ compilation cd and they are receiving airplay in the u.s and the u.k.
