The Moondance band specialises in performing a wide variety of music guaranteed to please the most demanding guests whatever your special occasion. When you book the Moondance Band for your function you will experience a top quality professional showband with all your requirements efficiently organized and expertly performed. Our years of experience can make the difference in making your function outstandingly successful and truly an event to remember. The Moondance Band is also one of the most flexible and entertaining in the music business being able to scale up from a cool 6 piece combo right up to an explosive and rocking 12 piece showband. Henry - is the leader and manager of the band and plays keyboards and sings. Henry has been performing for many years in a number of bands and has built up a reputation for delivering the very best both from his keyboards and from the band. He taught piano for many years and has successfully completed 7th Grade in performance. He used to play with legendary Australian bands Madder Lake and the Skyhooks. Bob - is the guitarist in the band and also the main male singer. Bob is originally from Sydney where he was one of the top guitarists in the state, being asked to back all the international shows that came to Sydney, as well as, playing in a multitude of touring bands around the state. Bob teaches guitar at a number of schools and music schools around Melbourne where he sees a large number of students face to face and he has a long waiting list for new students. Bob has played with artists ranging from Cliff Richard and Shirley Bassey to Men at Work and Colleen Hewitt. Sagit - is the main female vocalist in the band. She has been with the band for over 5 years and has established herself as one of Melbourne’s premier singers. She performs an incredible range of songs, from current dance tunes to Jazz standards. She also sings in Italian, Spanish, Portugese, Greek and Hebrew. Sagit performed overseas for a number of years, mainly in Houston, Texas. Joe - is the bass player and male vocalist in the band. He has been with the band for 6 years and before that was a member of two very successful local bands: Best Kept Secret and Not So Serious who worked around Melbourne 4 to 5 nights a week for many years. Joe has a performing background - his father ran one of Melbourne’s most successful bands for many years in the 60’s and 70’s. Joe is also an accomplished guitar player. “Bones” Elliot - is the drummer in the band and a founding member of Moondance 7 years ago. His drumming has ‘legend’ status in Melbourne where he was with Russel Morris for many years as well as Streetlife, Network,Vince Jones, Doug Parkinson to name just a few. He even toured with Santana around Australia in the 70’s. In more recent times he played with “Kids in the Kitchen” for a while. Bones teaches drums most days of the week as well as performing. Nikki - The band’s other female vocalist for the last 2 years. Nikki has a niche in the Australian music industry: numerous TV appearances, toured with Kylie Minogue, Farnham Band for 3 years, Paul McKay Sound to name a few. Nikki has been ‘the voice’ in TV jingles over many years being renowned for her recording studio work. Nikki has also written songs which have been released overseas. Lucy - The band’s other female vocalist. Lucy has established herself as with the cream of Melbourne’s performers, both as a solo artiste and with her band “Hot Gossip” amongst others. She has released CD’s in the Phillipines and had some big successes in New York when she was there. Her voice can be heard on countless TV commercials as she is very much in demand there for her unique talents. Gary - Gary plays the saxophone and is very much in demand around Melbourne. He is part of “The Horns of Love” and he has worked with all the top local artists as well a stint in the US. He was with Bob Valentine for many years, worked with Eric Burdon; as well as being a regular on TV shows. Tibor - Tibor plays the trumpet and was Musical Director at Channel Nine for 2 years. Tibor is also in “The Horns of Love” and has appeared on TV many times in different shows. Tibor has been in the Farnham Band, with Tommy Emmanuel, and with Renee Geyer to mention just a few. Lex - Lex plays trombone and is the co-ordinator of the “Horns of Love”. He is also currently in the Farnham Band and was in the Network Horns and with Bob Valentine for many years. Lex featured on TV for a season and is also a Musical arranger of the highest quality. The “Horns of Love” have performed at times with Moondance since its inception. John - The percussionist and Conga player in the band, John has extensive experience in show business being in the Buddy production which toured internationally for over a year. John has played with some of the best bands in Melbourne and Brisbane where he was previously based. He was with “Relax With Max”, for a number of years playing around 3 times a week. He is also an accomplished vocalist and drummer.
