Busted Custard is a covers band which includes a repertoire of Rock Hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The band plays tributes to legendary acts such as the Beatles, Stones, Cream, Pink Floyd just to name a few.
Busted Custard is all about entertaining and capturing audiences who want to reminisce, or for those who missed out, provide them with a unique experience, and reasons why they call this era, ‘The Era of Legends’.
Custard members have been playing on and off together for 15 years in professional bands and recording. Originally reformed in a Garage in Kensington and based in the Eastern Suburbs they are a 5 piece rock band with emphasis on ‘Rock’.
The bands name originates from the Drummers 5 year old daughter who came up with the name, She said, ‘ Dad I know, why don’t you call the band Busted Custard. We kind of thought about it and said Yeah, I like it. Busted Custard. Why not, there’s Cream, Beatles, Porridge, Vanilla Fudge etc.

Bruce Bedford – Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
‘Ive been playing guitar by ear since the ripe old age of 10, playing the folk rock of the time by artists such as Cat Stevens and Neil Young’. ‘I’m heavily influenced by the big 3 (Beatles, Led Zepplin and Rolling Stones), and also enjoys ‘alternative’ rock. I have been involved in original projects and other bands, including a folk duo. Also enjoyed recording and producing my own CD of original music with his band ‘The MooD’.
Peter Dimitriades – Lead Guitarist/Vocals
Peter D to my mates. I took up guitar after hearing the sounds of Jimmy Page’s guitar riff in A Whole Lotta Love which was just incredible. I was also largely influence by the greats including Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana Jimmy Page, Gary Gilmore and heaps more. What more could a Rock Guitarist aspire to as a motivation for picking up a musical instrument. Formed the first band with the Drummer (James) back in high school and up to the present day on and off did small stints with rock bands, plus hours of jamming and home recordings. Finally decided to get the Band back together to resurrect all those classic rock numbers.
Michael Antoniou – Rhythm Guitarist/ Vocals
Michael is our versatile guitarist, who’s been playing for 30 years. "The Beatles were a major influence to me, and as such I have been involved with Beatles like bands. In my heart I’m a rocker influenced by other artists such as The Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Rose Tatoo and The La De Da’s. Have also been involved in a few hard rock bands including the guitarist and drummer who I’ve played with 20 years ago in a Aussie band called FlashPoint. It feels good with these guys, I know’ it."
Andre Hogie – Bass Player
I searched everywhere for the freedom a guy like me needs. I found what I was looking for locked in my past as my old friends, were also looking for a guitarist. The marriage of our great music forces has proved to be a winning combination which our audience enjoy. Look out for upcoming albums, I really love playing the Beatles music and I share the singing when I can.
James Lyras – Drummer
"Our outfit (Busted Custard) consists of 2 Skips and 3 Greeks. I'm one of the Greeks obviously, I understand more than the others. Without me they're culturally bereft. I mean seriously, 2 Skips and 3 Wogs ......no-one would go to see that. They said once that if I left the band, they'd go on and do a Greek Haka and run a Greek Cafeniou in Brighton-Le-Sands. That's deep isn't it? It's moronic is what that is. No culture, Not right..... Not good. I'll stay right here."
