Alan Buckley plays Irish music as well as 50’s, 60’s and 70’s Pop and a bit of Country. He covers a number of rock/pop ballads as well as the classics by the Beatles and Jon Denver. He also has an extensive repertoire of Irish Folk and Celtic songs, ensuring a great night of entertainment!

Since emmigrating to Australia Alan has played at a number of venues, some using his Mediaeval costume and some in “Civvies”.

Alan Buckley first began to perform in the 60’s and played in a group around the Midlands of the UK, playing mainly pop music at Dance Halls until 1970, when Alan then joined the Folk scene un the UK. Alan helped run folk clubs and played a part in organizing the Lichfield Folk Festival in the Midlands.

For 23 years Alan played with the Brandywine Bridge band, performing at the medieval Warwick Castle in England.

He has played solo, in groups, written shows, has performed children history shows and has also appeared on TV in the UK.
