Line up(s) available: 6 piece or more The Funk Club House Band is a 7piece funk ensemble covering a selection of old Skool rare grooves as well as old favourites with a ‘party’ vibe. Perfect for any celebratory occasion the band are trained conservatorium musicians who know how to have a good time, and help others do the same. Full of fun and entertainment the Funk Club House Band will put a smile on your face and your feet on the dance floor! Service Specialises in a funky ‘party’ atmosphere with a dancfloor (essential!) with songs from 70’s funk and Motown era. The band is versatily is often appreciated by event organisers as its able to perform groovy jazz for a live background music experience as well as full ass-shaking party sets! Members Consist of WAAPA graduates in Jazz, with drums, bass, guitar, keys, trumpet, saxaphone(s), lead female vocal, most of the band members also sing backing vocals. Experience Aside from playing every Friday at Funk Club, upstairs at the Leederville Hotel the Funk Club House Band has done private funktions such as: Weddings, private parties, corporate staff funktions and events over the past 3 years. Developing a healthy repitoire of classic rare and not so rare 70s funk tunes. The band is aged between 25 and 35, thus being able to appeal to younger audiences as well as helping the oldies remember the good times. Generally the band especially appeals to more savvy audiences within the design, music, clothing and media industries. Having released a live compilation CD in 2005 with plans for an Album later this year The Funk Club House Band has supported bands such as The Waifs, Salmonella Dub, The Bamboos, Dexter, Kid Confucius and Bomba coupled with over 3 years as the resident house band at the Funk Club…some describe the Funk Club House Band as an institution unto itself.
