The Fix is a guitar and vocal duo performing an eclectic mix of originals and covers. Peter Shaw and Jeff Potter formed The Fix in 2006 to escape the rigors of cover band work around Melbourne and Victoria.

Both experienced musicians, we are excited by making songs our own rather than just playing them verbatim. Our original songs are influenced by some of the artists who we cover. Both Pete and Jeff have had extensive experience in live work over many years.

Peter having played with bands such as The Crushed Buzzards to supporting Run DMC at Festival Hall with Skippy the Butcher. Also enjoying some air play on Rick Swaney’s album “Faith in Friends”, co-written by Pete. After early new wave bands such as Nervous Disorder, Jeff has focused mainly on acoustic solo and duo work both in Melbourne and in Florida for some years.

Just recently The Fix (as they are now known) were founding members of cover band Transmitter playing Rock/Pop covers at pubs and larger venues. Deciding to go the more creative and flexible route without the aid of bass and drums,

The Fix are doing what they do best, performing songs with their own pace and style and throwing in the odd original.
