BumpCity have been performing since the band's conception as "What is Hip" back in the 1980's. Peter Morgan, leading NZ soul singer, joined the boys in 2003 and the band became known as BumpCity.

They've played all Sydney's major venues including The Basement, The Capitol Theatre, The Macquarie Hotel, The Soup Plus, Sydney Entertainment Centre and the Manly International Jazz Festival. 2005 saw the successful release of their first CD "On Top Down Under".

Awesome frontman for BumpCity, Peter Morgan has toured with Randy Crawford, Renee Geyer and bass virtuoso Jeff Berlin and performed as the opening solo artist for The Pointer Sisters and with Tina Arena, Mark Williams and Margaret Urlich. As well as hosting his own television music show in NZ, Peter had performed at the NZ Commonwealth Games and recorded with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Annie Crummer, Martin Winch, Ardijah and Susanne Lynch (NZ Idol). BumpCity have been joined by special guests Tom Politzer from Tower of Power, Ardijah's Betty-Anne and "Captain Fonk" Ryan Monga, Merenia, Evelyn Duprai and Jeni Love.

BumpCity opened for "Fiji" America's highest selling Polynesian funk and hip hop artist on his inaugural Australian tour and have appeared on Australia's Channel 9 "Mornings with Kerri-Anne". Recently the BumpCity boys opened and shared the stage with Motown's legendary stars The Supremes during their only Australian public performance.
