Matthew has been a professional actor/ singer since 1978 when he first appeared in “the Sullivans” as a soldier and began appearing in regular speaking roles on nearly every TV show made out of Melbourne; including Neighbours, Skyways, Cop Shop, Prisoner, Carson’s Law etc. Matthew also appeared in a number of movies and TV commercials.


From 1985 - 1989 Matthew was part of Australia’s Number 1 Acappella group “The Phones” and travelled the country performing at major events, corporate functions, comedy clubs and festivals. In 1987 he appeared on Melbourne’s Carols by Candlelight at the Myer music bowl and made regular appearances on shows like “Good Morning Australia” “Good Morning Melbourne” “The Midday Show” and 6 appearances on “Hey, Hey It’s Saturday”.
