At age 22, Fleur Van Den Berg has emerged as a fresh face and a fresh sound on the Australian Music scene. A Performance Graduate from the University of New South Wales, majoring in Jazz composition and performance, Fleur has established herself as a freelance singer and musician.


17 years Violin and 7 years vocal training has solidified Fleur’s classical and technical abilties and positioned her in various Sydney based Orchestras, choirs and Jazz ensembles. However it was her self-taught Piano and Guitar sessions that brought to fruition her passion for songwriting and performing, inspiring her four demo recordings that were produced both in Sydney and Den Haag, Netherlands.

No stranger to the spotlight, Fleur has sought acting roles across Australian Television, in TV commercials, Bold Sweat and Gears, Home and Away and Underbelly 3; a film role in 2005’s Chaq de India, as well as modelling for Ice Models, Performance Promotions and Voom Management.

Currently performing in Sydney, Fleur draws inspiration from the classics such as John Lennon, UB40, Freddie Mercury and Tony Bennett, in which simplicity and truth prevail as key compositional components. However contemporary artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Lykke Li and Lily Allen strike a chord with their witty and perspicacious lyrics and structure.

Fleur currently teaches at Empire Music School in Sydney’s Northern Beaches as a Piano, Violin and Vocal instructor, alongside some of Sydney’s most dynamic musicians.
