Jessie Sparks is an experienced Singer, Songwriter & Musician having performed & recorded within Australia, NZ, Canada & USA. With a great collection of classics & numerous original works she has united with some of Melbourne’s most distinguished musicians to perform in various live acoustic ensembles. Martin Cox is a highly versatile pianist/singer who is as comfortable playing soft jazz in a cocktail lounge as he is belting out soul, rock’n’roll or Latin dance songs (sung in fluent Spanish) with full backings on his keyboard. He has years of experience playing in restaurants, hotels, weddings, corporate functions and festivals here and in Spain and can read the audience like the palm of his hand. His enormous repertoire covers music from the 1920’s to now, encompassing jazz, pop, rock’n’roll, Latin, soul, Motown, folk, classical and his own songs and improvisations. Chris Sporton is a musician of over 30 years experience. He has played at hundreds of weddings, and hundreds more birthdays and corporate functions. With a song list encompassing the swing era of the forties through to current chart music, versatility is the name of the game. Chris produces his own backings using midi type techniques with new hardware that produces realistic sounds through digital sampling technology. Hot House Big Band is a twelve piece (or more) group performing swing music from the 30’s through to the 80’s. It comprises of two trumpets, two trombones, four saxophones, piano, guitar, bass, drums and a vocalist. The band pays tribute to the music made famous by bands like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller. The group comprises of selected musicians based on their ability and enthusiasm for the style and the band boasts talented individuals, each with a great deal of experience in most musical settings and genres who have come together to share the exciting swing experience.
