Soul Nights Sydney's favourite dance party band is comprised of Australia's leading musicians. These musicians have come together to create a unique funky, dance, groove and rnb feel. Alegria is an exciting and versatile duo. Both lead singer Penny and vocalist, keyboardist and saxophonist Martin are consummate musicians and performers with years of experience. They can provide anything from smooth jazz and ballads to dynamic dance sets featuring a huge range of music from 50’s rock’n’roll through soul, funk, Motown, disco, 80’s, 90’s and the most recent pop hits. Add to this Martin’s experience in Spain and his repertoire of Latin dance songs, sung in fluent Spanish and Portuguese and you have a fantastic array of music that will keep everyone happy. Undercover Cool duo is Blythe Tait on vocals and harp, and David Murtough on piano, trumpet, trombone and backing vocals. We love playing smooth jazz and latin – perfect for cocktails or sophisticated dining. And when your guests want to party, we can play everything from classic rock to the latest dance hits! We also supply our own sound system and exciting light display, so all you have to worry about is having a good time! Lady Jam is a 4 piece funk/soul/jazz band, playing covers as well as original music including artists such as Erykah badu, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder and Billie Holiday. In addition to the 4 piece, the line up can be extended up to include saxaphone, percussion and trumpet. Lady Jam play weekly in Sydney-based clubs/hotels and corporate functions and weddings.

The Koll Kollective is renowned for their class, style and versatility. From corporate events to intimate private parties, this band’s large repertoire consists of jazzy intimate dinner music, soulful funky grooves and classic and contemporary dance floor hits. Featuring the beautiful vocals of Sunny Koll, the members of this band have worked with such icons as Missy Higgins, The Little River Band, Dancing With The Stars, Birtles Shorrock Gobles, Renee Geyer, Deborah Byrne, The Cat Empire and Pete Murray.

Los Trios Quartet comprises some of Melbourne’s finest young jazz talent. Offering a sophisticated blend of styles – from toe-tapping swing, to a sultry bossa-nova to a groovin’ soul classic. These gifted performers will bring the right sound to your function, wedding or party. The quartet is also available as a vocal group (drums, double-bass, guitar, vocals) featuring the beautiful and talented Sacha.

Jazz in the Box are an outstanding outfit that play an eclectic range of music in the jazz genre. They have a fresh approach, a fantastic range of well known songs, an unbelievable sound and an intimate approach to their audience. Jazz in the Box began from a simple idea which identified a vast hole in the music scene that was being under serviced. Big Band Jazz sounds with the simplicity of a trio or quartet.

The Joanna Lavell Band is an exciting new corporate, function and wedding band presenting Jazz, Soul, Disco, Groove and Funk music. The band performs an eclectic mix of songs by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Chaka Kahn, Earth,Wind and Fire, Bill Withers, Tower of Power, The Metres, and more.

Bittersweet is a quality musical act that boasts musical excellence, flexibility and great entertainment! Whether as a simple Duo with core members Rachel Juhasz (vocals) and Graham Bishop (piano), or as a sophisticated quartet (drums and double bass). Bittersweet is the perfect act for your venue, corporate event, festival or special occasion. Rachel Juhasz is a vocalist with passion and experience. Keyboardist Graham Bishop was initially classically trained, but his styles now include Blues, Jazz and most contemporary styles.

Graham has developed his playing skills in classical, contemporary, relaxation/new age, jazz and blues: He brings to one’s establishment a wealth of experience and an accomplished contrast in styles. His playing appeals to the differing musical tastes of any audience whose attraction may range from the mellow introspective sound of new age piano to that of distinctive blues, the groove of jazz, bounce of honky-tonk, contemporary piano, or that of beautiful and charming classical.

The Cubano Highball Trio are three fine musicians playing Jazz, Latin and Funk for the corporate and wedding scene in Brisbane. The group sizzles with a stylish interplay of piano, bass and percussion, bringing any sized space to life. Among others, the ensemble has been received warmly at functions hosted by Premier Peter Beattie at Parliament house and also by Lord Mayor Campbell Newman in City Hall. The Cubano Highball Trio offer hours of repertoire, a professional attitude and can provide their own P.A. system.

Parisienne Swing is an elegant, stylish and specialized act. A four piece Melbourne based group present their “Touch of Paris” feel and smooth jazz sounds to audiences nationally.
Their Repertoire is reminiscent of Parisienne Days gone by, features an original mix of gypsy, jazz and flamenco inspired originals and east European melodies. Jennifer and Martin sing both standards and original songs, hauntingly atmospheric mood pieces as well as fiery up-tempo instrumental passages.

The Ritmo Arch, and their vocalist, Lucy Warner, pump out some pretty vibrant jazz, funk and Latin Tunes. This eight piece band has gained a reputation for being the shire’s youngest, most lively and entertaining band. They are for any occasion and play at weddings, festivals and private functions. They prefer to play all together but can accomodate the needs of your occassion in terms of providing a smaller ensemble. With hits from Aretha Franklin, Harry Connick Jr., Stevie Wonder and some original material, this band has the ability to get even the most conservative crowds up and dancing.

The Cat’s Kitchen is available for your wedding, birthday or function. Debra Blaquiere performs with a quartet, and also a duo or trio, in more intimate settings. Her repertoire presents original jazz compositions, and very familiar pop, jazz, folk, blues and show tunes. Debra’s collection of song titles draws from a diverse range of influences that have enabled Debra to create her own unique style. She is a product of our time, and plays respectful homage to those who have influenced her such as Doris Day, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole Trio and the composers both pop and jazz of great American songwriters Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Burt Bacharach and many more.

Jessica Paige and Glenn Cannon are both artists who have many national and international accolades for their musicianship and artistry. For your special function they will perform beautiful jazz standards, played superbly and sung divinely. VCA graduate Glenn, is a master guitarist and a seasoned international performer. Jessica has a swag full of national and international awards for her songwriting and performance skills including an APRA award and a JB (John Butler) Seed award. This professional, warm and friendly duo are available for weddings, events and functions now!

Sally Street is a uniquely entertaining jazz and blues artist based in Sydney. In essence, Sally Street puts the muse back into music and brings the razzle dazzle into the magical world of jazz. Sally's debut album “Little Evil Me”, released under the Newmarket Music label offers a repertoire of tantalizing jazz and blues delights bubbling with mellifluous flights of fancy that will entrance and delight any pair of ears. Sally regularly performs at jazz venues as far and wide as the Opera Bar at Sydney Opera House to the Gold Coast Jazz and Blues Club in Surfers Paradise, and at private functions and weddings.

Specialising in jazz and latin standards from the 1930s through to the 1960's. Jennifer creates an ambience designed for the cafe society, private functions and entertainment where a less intrusive sound is called for. Where an atmosphere is created to relax in and hold quiet conversation.

The Soul Gallery is a 4 piece band (Voice, Guitar, Bass and Drums) from Sydney that play a great selection of Soul, RnB, Pop and Funk tunes. We draw on music from artists such as Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Angie Stone and D'Angelo as well as more classic artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and The Little River Band.
